Fellowship Project: Blog Posting
After you watch the video and read the study notes below, answer these questions here:
What is God teaching you about having faith that moves mountains? How will you apply this to the situations you’re facing?
1. Discuss: How you can have faith in your heart and doubt in your mind and still see answers to prayer. What is the difference between speaking out of the mind versus speaking out of faith in the heart?
2. Discuss: Having the type of faith that believes for a greater return from a little faith. How do you get to that point?
Talk about how you can believe from faith's fullness and God’s power and how that moves mountains.
3. How do you stop doubt from entering you internally?.
4. Even if your mountain doesn’t move right away, how will you persevere in faith?
Jesus replied, “Listen to the truth. If you do not doubt God’s power and speak out of faith’s fullness, you can also speak to a tree, and it will wither away. Even more than that, you could say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and
be thrown into the sea’, and it will be done.
—Matthew 21:21 (TPT)
DISCUSSION:
Jesus curses a fig tree and then leaves for the night. The next day, He cursed the fig tree at its roots because it didn't have any fruit. If something happens to a tree's roots, it can go a long time and still stay green. You wouldn't even know it’s not doing well. The surprise when Jesus cursed the tree is that there was evidence that the tree had shriveled up within twenty-four hours, which is not common. It's not possible for you to have a big tree and say something to it and then the next day it's firewood. A tree doesn't do that, so the disciples were confounded, and they said, “Look Lord, the tree you cursed is dead.” Jesus said to those disciples, “Anything that is in your way should be removed and cast into the sea. Jesus is saying that this mountain that's between you and your destiny needs to go.
WARRIOR FELLOWSHIPS STUDY GUIDE
• The Lord’s not going to tell you what He has for you and then put a huge obstacle in the way that doesn't allow you through.
• He’s not going to tell you to do something and prevent you from doing it.
• Many people pray and think that God didn’t mean what He said because their mountain isn’t moving.
• Obey the scripture and speak to your mountain and move it.
• He won’t get rid of the mountains for you.
• He’ll tell you what’s on the other side of the mountain, but you are the one to remove it.
• The Bible says to speak to the mountain. Believe in your heart that what you declare with your mouth will happen, and it shall be done for you.
• It doesn’t say here to ask in Jesus’ name.
• It doesn’t say to fast and pray here.
• We have to have Centurion faith where we give a command, and it’s done.
• The highest form of faith is just saying the word Lord, and it will be enough.
• We aren’t going to beg God to move our mountains for us.
• Jesus told Paul that He had done everything He’s going to do about the devil. He’s not doing anything else about him. You’re going to have to do something about the devil. Whatever you bind or loose, it’s done.
• Jesus told Saul before He became Paul, “I’ve given you authority over serpents and scorpions and power over all the enemy.”
